Accellta Secures Second Consecutive R&D Grant from Israel Innovation Authority

Haifa, Israel — September 2025 — Accellta Ltd., a FoodTech pioneer developing cultured dairy fat and advanced cell-culture technologies, has secured an R&D grant from the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) for the second consecutive year. The grant recognizes Accellta’s leadership in sustainable dairy innovation and supports its ongoing research to scale animal-free milk-fat production using its proprietary 3D suspension-culture platform.
Building on last year’s success, Accellta is accelerating product development and process optimization to deliver cultured milk fat that mirrors the taste, texture, and nutritional properties of traditional dairy fat—but without cows. This unique ingredient enables food manufacturers to produce authentic dairy products with clean-label, non-GMO, and environmentally responsible ingredients.
“Winning this second-year grant reinforces our commitment to lead the FoodTech transformation,” said Dr. Michal Amit, CEO of Accellta. “We are pushing the boundaries of biotechnology to make sustainable dairy a commercial reality.”
Accellta’s technology is based on a scalable 3D suspension-culture system that grows pluripotent stem cells in large volumes without animal serum, microcarriers, or scaffolds. The company’s xeno-free, chemically defined media allow for consistent and cost-effective production of dairy fat cells. These cells naturally accumulate milk lipids that can be processed into butter, cheese, or cream-like ingredients, creating a new source of authentic dairy taste for the global market.
In addition, Accellta continues to collaborate with leading dairy manufacturers and investors to bring its cultured dairy fat to market, aiming to support the global transition toward sustainable and ethical dairy production.
